PMIs and employment
The PMI Employment Index allows users to monitor labour market conditions, providing an advance indication of changes in official data on employment. It is calculated from the survey question: "Please compare the level of employment at your unit this month with the situation one month ago". Respondents are asked to ignore seasonal or temporary hires.
